The Tooth Fairy came a-callin'
Jessie lost her first tooth! She's had lots of "firsts" this month. She started kindergarten and now rides the school bus! She's also a fantastic BIG sister!

The Squirrel Saga continues...
Well, it appears Jinx has a secret admirer! After much-to-do this week about Jinxy's encounter with a squirrel, look what appeared on our back deck Sunday afternoon...
At first, I thought... how cruel? It must be from my brother! But he swears it wasn't him so that means it was one of our other "sick" friends.
No matter! This gave Jinx the perfect opportunity to enact revenge (without the fear of catching rabies!)
Thanks Secret Admirer!
CCPS's FINEST

Meet the new baby
Here's the newest member of our "extended" family...
Kaitlyn Grace Carmichael
Born June 25, 2008
She is so beautiful and except for having much more hair, she looks just like her big sister Jessica (and Aunt Kelli, of course).
Jinxy's Arch-Nemesis
In staying with this week's theme, I thought I would post a photo of Jinxy's arch-nemesis...
A SQUIRREL!
She lives in the tree on the corner of our house and runs back and forth in front of the door and window taughtening the "Princess."
They actually got into a fight this week. I had to pull Jinx off the little bugger!
Sorry Teddy... one way or the other, she's got to go!!!!

Creature Week
First it was the box turtle and now we've graduated to... SNAKES... A baby Python to be exact.
One of the instructors at our local pottery shop has a pet snake and gave us a little "show & tell" while we painted. More than just a pottery store!
His name is MANSON and he's 1-1/2. He'll grow about 2-3 feet once full grown.

Belle was a little intimidated at first, but you'll notice it didn't keep her from enjoying her Starbucks!

Once he was safely wrapped around April's arm, Gabby & Tyler (another fab twin-sitter) were brave enough to touch him.

Just imagine if Jinxy was around :)

Turtle Mania
On Sunday, Rob noticed a small creature in the driveway. It was the first time we had been visited by a turtle.
As you can see, the little guy has been around. His shell had several dents, divots and scrapes. He was also quite curious about the humans that had happened upon him.
Of course, it goes without saying, that the Princess Pup was terrified. She never did clue in that she could move much faster than he. What a chicken!
Although the girls were BEGGING to keep him, after a few minutes of playing hide-n-seek in his shell, we decided to return him to the creek located in the woods behind our house.
Bye-bye friend... Come see us again!
Gabby & Belle's WORKOUT... Sorta
Recognizing that the key to good health is a vigorous workout, the twins do their part...
Okay, perhaps they do their part in helping MATT workout...
Matt is Lauren's boyfriend. Lauren is our neighbor and one of our many twin-sitters. Both are seniors this year. We've known Matt since he was in middle school. That's how long he and Lauren have been dating.
Matt is a BIG guy to say the least. He stands 6'8" and wears a size 17 shoe. Not exactly easy to shop for! Needless to say, basketball is his game!
He loves to challenge Rob at a game of basketball - or ANYTHING for that matter!
Of course, it's only fun, until GABBY gets hurt. Forget the score --- this is when we know the game is over!
Back-to-School
Well, it was that time again... time to return to school... Although, this is a really big year.
The girls are "seniors"... sorta!
They entered 5th grade at Eldersburg Elementary School. And if that weren't enough, they now get to sit in the very back of the school bus!
Woo Hoo!!!
We'll be sad to see them leave. We love EES. The teachers and administrators are great and we have an active, supportive PTA!
But, I'm getting ahead of myself. We first need to get through Mrs. Chiaramonte's ILA class :)
And believe it or not, VJ is a true Senior. This is his final year of high school! After having passed the high school assessments, he is on track to graduate in June with his high school diploma!
Keep up the great work buddy!
